Useless people...

After so many days I want to share something with you people as it made me too much angry. Probably it is my first post after shifting to the new city.

Recently I met with someone who wanted to pay tribute to the martyrs of 16 December which is known as ‘Vijay Diwas’ and captain Bana Singh appeared as hero of the battle and hoisted Indian Flag at Sichen Glacier on 16th December 1962.
I do not remember the name of the person about i'm discussing because I did not find him much important. Apart from me he met with all media people here in the city and said that he was going to drive his car about 12,00km continuously. It was his way to pay tribute in a different way to the courageous soldier (martyr) who died for country in the battle. You know people here are too much eager to do something different bole to kuch hatt k karna hai. :(

And it was surprise for me that reporters from different media organisations were taking him seriously because he was going to drive continuously for 18 hours which was quite difficult.  But I did not gave him space in my newspaper because I had other important events. Next day, he gained lots of space probably in all newspapers of the city either English or Hindi.

Next day, at evening hours i was listening my favourate gazals of Jagjeet Singh and having yummy pasta. I was in a lazy mood because of my week off. Suddenly there was call from unknown number and i was not interested to receive that but anyway, i made my face and press the left green button of my mobile and said ‘Hello’. On other side there was a man and he started screaming. He said “Madam mai XYZ bol ra hu, aapne meri khabar nai lagayi, sab paper me aaya hai…” He was the same man who drove his car continuously for 18 hours to pay tribute.

I also talked him rudely and said “Mere pass dusri important news thi so nai lagaya” and I cut down the phone. He called me frequently but I did not receive his phone.

I’m really angry with the man. Why people do such stupidity? Weather it was a publicity stunt or kidaa that people usually have to see their photo in newspaper. If he really wanted to pay tribute to the martyr of the country, he could have various way. He would have hundreds of social welfare tricks but he chose driving that has burnt hundred liters of fuel which is quite precious. And most important, being a doctor, he wasted his time because he could treat poor or differently able children for free of cost and it will be a real tribute.
