Three people, I still remember...

Although sixteen years have been passed but i still remember the three personalities during my school days. School days are really memorable and i cannot forger the dayts i spent in St Joseph School from class KG to V because of these three people.

The first one is Mr C Thomas, Mrs Maya and Paul Sir. However out of these three, two have never behaved well with me, they scolded me and thrashed with sticks on my bucks, duster on my hand and made me stand up, hands up in classroom for hours. I remember the third one, Paul sir because of his love, concern and pamper even after being a poor fellow. He was our drawing teacher and off course i was perfect in drawing cartoon characters, so he liked my creativity and pampered me too much. Mr C Thomas was our school principal and he always made me stand up for not learning English word meaning and long answers. He assumed me as below average (even worst) fellow in class.
However now at this age, he feel proud of mee and few days back he called me for visiting the school. Now he is happy to know that The Poor Fellow is a journalist and sucessfully doing in her career while the Best (lovable) students of his class are wandering here and there for jobs. Anyway, i'm not criticizing my friends, it is just a real story.

The third person i still remember is Mrs Maya. She was our Math teacher and i used to be poor in remembering Multiplication Tables. She thrased me with thin stick on my bucks very badly :( I was literary crying but she did not care and it was common scene for my classmates. They laughed and mocked me every day but even after beinf scared of her name only, i never learnt the table, so rigid.......hehehehehe :) Everyday i prayed for her absence in school :), never wished to attend his class. However today i can tell you the multiplication table from 2 to 12 without any mistake and credit goes to off course Mrs Maya. If you want to know about her appearance, she was dark and thin with short height. He curly hairs were dark black and she carried Christian cross on herneck, two harizontal lines on her forehead.
Paul sir was bery fair, thin and everyday he carried horrible thin stick on his hand. However he never used that stick, it was just his identification (as we gossiped in class) while Thomas sir was tall, thin, dark-black beard and angry young man. He never carried stick on his hand but was dispirit to punish the students, especially me. He was habitual of sudden visit of classrooms and borrowed sticks from other teachers to punish us.
There was also an old lady, i do not remember her name. She was our Sanskrit teacher and she ounished me almost everyday as i was prone to verbal outburst and talking too much in classroom.  I interrupted her while explaining the chapters with so many talks. But sometimes it was not my fault because classmates were too involved in chatting. I had image of 'talking doll' in her class and she punished me for every noise in class without identifying the culprits. I was punished for other's fault too :( How pathetic :(

In oppostite to this, i was most brilliant student of my class from standard VI tio XII. Teachers used to proud of me and they never dared to ask random questions with me as i knew all the answers. I completed homework and learnt the lessons daily. From KG to V, i was weak and careless girl who never completed her homework and never learnt the chapters but from VI to XII, i was brilliant and among toppers :)

Hunting tribes should be promoted for sports in India

Everybody knows that tribal living around forest areas are blessed with sharp eyes, ears, capacity to run faster and perfect in archery. These people are skilled enough in activities necessary for a sports person by birth. Besides on other side, India is battling with its poor performance in sports activities excluding the cricket match on international platform. We Indians watch the Olympic Games very enthusiastically but when it comes about performance, we collect hardly one of two medals. And if you are talking about the FIFA world cup, India is not eligible at all. It is all about proper planning and strategy of the government.
It is really strange that a country having population of 1.2 billion is worse in sports while country having half or even one third of India is much advances and best in international sports. There is no doubt, India has sporting talent to produce good sportsmen and women but the need is proper planning, strategy and identification. Leaving cricket, India’s performance in other games like hockey, archery, tennis, and marathon is almost zero.

If our government plans well to motivate the tribal people who are known as hunters in dark forest, two positive things would be appeared. First one is that these nomadic tribes would get a normal life away from animal hunting and the second part is India would get excellent sports person in different sector. Sangeeta Saxena, WWF state director (MP&CG) says that nomadic tribes especially Pardhy, Gond, Bhil, Baighs etc have very sharp eye sight. They can hear noise of waving leaves, they can run as fast as wild cat but unfortunately these tribes are still living their lives in dark forest, depend on hunting wild animals. They are literally far away from the modern life style. These nomadic tribes have spent their life in dark jungles where they got training of hunting wild cat and other dangerous species by their ancestors. They are skilled enough from their childhood and habitual of living with the wild animals. They are fearless and trained to follow the animals for miles. An effort to train and motivate these tribes towards the sports is need of the hours. In this way, government would get skilled sports person to compete on international platform and it will also help the forest department to stop animal hunting.

I could not control my laughter after reading comments of political leaders on dressing sense of women. Several statements have been reported from leaders and other officials that women should wear traditional uniforms to be safe from criminal activities.

The recent comment of MP state minister Babula Gaur on dressing sense of women in India has been criticized by women of the state. City ladies asked minister Gaur about the rape cases reported in villages where women use to be under veil or a year old girl child who has been brutally raped by people at several places.
Babulal Gaur said that officers of Chennai informed him that ladies in Chennai are religious and they wore traditional attire due to which crime rate in the city is comparatively lower. Gaur said that women in foreign countries wear jeans and T-shirts, dance with other men and even drink liquor, but that is their culture. It is good for them but not for India, where only our traditions and culture are ok. He said, India must not ape the foreign culture otherwise they would not protect women.
It is really ridicules comment. If dressing sense has something to do with crime against women, western country should have much more rape and other crimes. Rather than making comments on such things, men should have control on their otherwise they should go to jungle.
“Clothes have nothing to do with crime rate against women in India. Men should improve their thoughts and respect the women,” said MP state women commission chairman Upma Rai. She further said that if men would think well, behave well.
Presenting example of some recent incidents in Madhya Pradesh, city women said that lots of rape cases have been reported from rural areas where women use to be under veil. Even a year old girl child is continuously being raped in our country. Most of the women in city say, rather than commenting on attire male should have some respect for females.
Dr Ruma Bhattacharya, psychologist by profession says that in India we worship several Goddesses like Saraswati, Laxmi, Durga etc then how can we make such comments on female. She further suggested, “Men should go to jungle, if they do not have control on their mind.”
If clothes are reason for crime, what to do with girl child? Everyday rape cases are being reported from villages where women use to be in veil. Even a year old girl is not safe from rape incident. It seems that women are not free to tread in India as frequently people comment on their uniform as well as freedom to go anywhere.

Cycling is really good

Gone are the days when people use cycle for daily transportation. Although cycling is good for our health but now-a-day it can be seen at selected place only including the Gym.

From the very obvious thing of reaching the destination faster and in a more eco friendly way in synchronizing with the nature it is a win-win situation. Moreover, the calf muscles, arm muscles as well as the straight back gives you that extensive exercise regime you have since long been craving for and yet did not find the time to hit the gym.
Moreover, to the joy of the youngsters cycling has also grown both as a sport and a style statement. The new bicycles equipped with all sorts of appliances like better grip and break, lights, gear and stylish look the new age cycles have not necessarily brought the good old time back but have given a more glamorous and starry resurrection to the age of cycle that was.
One of the best reasons of cycling is ‘no-fuel’ but the determination of the rider himself to move forth. In this age of personal and global scarcity of petrol and diesel, cycle provides a much cheaper alternative to meet the purpose with little needed to spend after in its up keeping and caring.
So, while you are doing good to your muscles as well as the mother nature good, you are equally saving a great deal in your pockets to treat yourself with  a book you have since long been yearning to read with the very same money you saved and trust me the amount is going to be high.

But now in the modern age, people like to ride motorbike and car which cost expensive fuel and result lots of pollution as well. Our lazy habit in day to day activity is making as physically unable and ill health. It was a time when people use to walk for kilo meters and did their daily task himself but now as much the technology and modern technique are on rise, people are becoming ill.

The last reason I find people should opt for this vintage style long ride is that in this age of utter hurry, you can hop on the bicycle with your friends and take a tour of the rural greenery and highway speculation. Going on a long ride with friends under the cast of something called overcast beauty is a moment I guess nobody will ever skip. Enough reading, take out that old bicycle of yours customize it or get a new one, make a plan and make your day all the way cycling to a fresher mood and a better you.
